I paid at noon yday from a RBS bank , they charged me $204 . Upload a receipt right away .I still have'nt heard anything back , should I be worried or for some reason is it taking longer to get back to us who applied from Canada because it's an international wire ?

Marty came up with the answer for this one. Our money is going from Canada. It'll probably take 3 days. No need to worry

Unless there's a problem with the wire ! by then all the place's will be gone and we're screwed !

We should get priority as we're already in canada :D

folks, were we supposed to upload a Garda clearance if we are applying from within Canada?
I couldn't see a place to upload it.
    Worried!

Works easy to find alright. I was bartending as well when I first got here. The hours got to me so I packed it in for construction. The -20 can be a bit rough alright but wait till summer hits bro. It was scorching last year. 3 months of 20 to 30 temps. Ya get strangely used to the cold tho, I'm sweating in work if its +8 now!

The drivings handy alright. Get your record from your county council and it will let you skip a lot of the testing, you'all only have to dot the theory and then a pretty easy driving test.
Yeh the hours are ****e, I have a nice balance of doing days and nights so I can make some money but have a few evenings off. Sure even if its snowing out and I go running I end up sweating, it dosn't effect you as badly as weather at home.

Yeh I hadn't my licence in Ireland, never had the time or the interest at home, tried to get it after I decided to come here but with all the red tape around having to have the provisional a while I hadn't time, kicking myself now but thats life.

I paid in HSBC yesterday about midday and have been verified this morning (Calgary time)

Anyone figure out yet how we get around this come to Canada wizard? It just keeps telling me I'm not entitled to any visa even though I would be.

It's just a waiting game now for me.

I don't think having a WTN number means anything rusheen but I hope I'm wrong and you are right...
My interpretation is that I need 500 or so people to drop out before I can be considered. . I dont think thats likely because everyone who applied seems to really want to come over here. No one to blame but myself.. ARRGH!!

    Have faith :)

If your only 500 places off , I reckon you have good chance . There will be lots of places not taken for various reasons ,forms not filled out correctly , people cant get police clearance from other countries , people who cant afford to go this year. people get other types of visas, LMO's etc , people choose other countries !
I applied really late last year everyone said it was too late but I got one .

Man I feel for you, make sure you apply and start looking around for an LMO, I'd shovel **** rather then leave Canada, plus it would probably pay well.

A question for anyone in Canada on there second year visa who has received there conditional acceptance and have moved on to part 2 i.e My CiC

When you completed the 'Come to Canada Questionnaire' did you answer -

1 - What is your country of nationality of your passport = Ireland
2 - What is your current country of residence = Ireland or Canada?

If Canada is put in here for number 2 it directs you to a totally different section but if Ireland is put in there it asks you to upload all the required forms i.e conditional acceptance, Cv, Garda Cert etc plus there's no fee here to be paid.

The correct answer here for me if Canada but this brings me to a totally different work permit process.

Has anyone been through this or can they shed any light?

    Thanks.

IEC Stage Two for those living in Canada:
This is from the irish canadian immigration centre facebook page

For the Come to Canada Wizard, Immigration Specialists recommend:

    A. enter IRELAND as country as residence

    B. enter No re offer of employment

    C. Will you come to Canada with spouse?: enter No (because it is an unaccompanying program)

The Wizard is not an application--the only purpose is to produce a corresponding checklist to send you the right forms.
The fact that the forms will have different answers will not matter. On the actual forms, tell the whole truth--IE if you are now in Canada say that.

This is more painful than last years application! I put in in Canada for my country of residence and of course it said I wasn't eligible but now it won't let me take the wizard part again?!?!

Can you re-register with my gic without affecting your application if you haven't submitted your docs etc yet? Could you just start phase 2 all over again? Or is there a way of changing your questionaire?

Rush honestly I don't know, my understanding is we don't as would make sense.

I got mine though and regardless will probably upload it.

I'm just starting stage 2 tomorrow when I get a chance.

if im in canada on my first IEC,on the IMM1295 form what would my status be? worker?

    thanks

So people who are currently in Canada are saying country of residence is Ireland?

I presume you upload a copy of your current IEC visa and upload that with your passport scan?

For anyone who scanned in passport photos, how important are the measurements, we're grand as far as pixels go but unsure?

Surprised to wake up today and the place was white after the beautiful last week .

So I'm trying my best to fill out all this forms correctly .I'm abit weary of a few of the questions ! please could someone help me .

On the 1295E form do we put country of residence as Ireland then put country where applying from as Canada ? what status should we use ? Worker ?
and use our canadian address .
On the details of intended work in canada should I put my current work location ? or would that cause issues ?

Rush Im not even that far yet and we're struggling.

As far as I know we're not residents in Canada, so I think you still put Ireland.

I wouldn't think it necessary to put your intended work location.

You can though use your Canadian address.

It appears when they use the term 'worker' they mean something seperate to an iec candidate, probably the skilled workers programme they have.

I'm by no means 100% on this but its what seems to make sense

    Hi all,

Just finished the Come to Canada Questions and got my checklist code, but reading down the page and seeing the form I have to fill out (IMM1295) it says at the top of the form 'APPLICATIN FOR WORK PERMIT MADE OUTSIDE OF CANADA' so is there another form we have to fill out from inside canada?

Any help would be great :)

    Thanks
    Caroline
