A friend of mine in the Isle Of Man is looking for a miniature Jack. Anyone know of a reputable breeder in the Meath/Cavan/North County Dublin Region?

There is no such thing as a miniature Jack Russell and anyone advertising such, should be avoided at all costs.

Contact the Jack Russell Club of Ireland or the IKC and they can point you in the direction of a reputable breeder, and not one that sells miniatures.

a miniature jrt is a genetic mutant, resulting from breeding two "runts" together over a couple of generations to get a "smallie" -- why would anyone want a dog with possible defects etc? Plenty of healthy jackers in the pound waiting to be euthanaised.

    Folks,
Whilst I appreciate you wanting to direct OP towards getting a rescue dog, they have specifically stated that they are looking for a reputable breeder. Until OP states whether they might be interested in taking a rescue dog, please don't take the thread off topic any more.
    Thanks,
    DBB

Mod hat off: OP, as already pointed out, a reputable mini Jack Russell breeder is an oxymoron. The breed doesn't exist, and anyone who is producing what they name as "Miniature JRTs" cannot, by definition, be reputable.
People who are deliberately producing tiny pups have been known to use some pretty grim methods to keep the size down, so the whole "miniature" thing, no matter what the breed, is strongly associated with serious welfare concerns.
