How in the name of god is it cheaper for me to buy my contacts (made in Ireland) on the web from the UK including the postage than it is to buy them from an irish source...why would i "buy Irish"....it doesnt make sense to me...:confused:

Because Ireland has 4,5 million people and the uk has 70 million plus. The uk companies have far greater economies of scale and buy them cheaper.

Everything is more expensive in Ireland than the uk and the uk companies have greater buying power. Plus the British people have lower disposable indome
