    Hey Everyone

Was just wondering if anyone has been to the F1 Monaco GP, my boyfriend is a massive fan and has always wanted to go, we are getting married in 2015 I had hoped to plan a trip as a surprise for our honeymoon I have checked out F1.com and senategrandprix but these sites to me seem expensive, i know monaco is expensive so am open to any cost saving ideas also i am not sure where the best view points/track positions are.
If anyone can recommend any companies they have used or any suggestions at all i would be very grateful.

    thanks

    Shaz

I've never been either, but am going this year. Its a once in a lifetime trip for my Dad, so i got the best seats i could for the race (swimming pool), and grandstand for the qualifying. Flying into and staying in Nice.

Flights, hotel and tickets have cost €2,500. I got the tickets on bookf1.com

It's pretty dear all right. I'm not mad about the track. Fewer opportunities to over take, making it less eventful.

If it were me I'd be looking into Spa. He'll be made up with his present anyway :)

Will be going to the Monaco GP again this year, I go with a group of lads and this will be the 11th year they have gone.
Flights were booked in November with Aer Lingus for €160 each return.
Hotel (4* Novotel Nice Centre) 3 to a room €330 per person, booked in September.Staying Thurs - Tues
GP Tickets booked with Monaco Motor Club (Z1 La Tabac corner) €170 for Saturday and Sunday.

Admittedly the tickets are one of the cheapest available, you do not get a seat, and have to scramble and shove to get a viewing point, but you are about 3 metres from the track.
The area we go to is a closed street with restaurants and a hotel and a big screen within sight(Essential for following the action)

Nice is less than 30 minutes by train form Monaco and the trains run all day and are about €5 return.

The atmosphere and buzz around Monaco and Nice over the entire weekend is incredible and for me is unmatched anywhere else I have being.
I have being fortunate enough to have attended 6 different GP's over the years including Spa and Monza but Monaco is still my favorite by a mile.

Hope this helps someway to show you that it can be done on a budget also.

PS as this will be your honeymoon, spending a few days in the French riviera will not dissapoint and is not a bad way to have to put with some petrol heads, rather do it on the med than in the forests of Belgium.
