Also hope that Loic Remy cops onto the offside rule a bit quicker tonight as he won't get as many chances to score as he did against West Ham.

Why wouldn't they have? O'Shea fitted in anywhere across the back four at United. He could still do that at United. He doesn't look the same player with weaker players around him. Nobody ever said he was crucial to United, just that he helped maintain a very good standard of defence when other players were injured.

I disagree that he'd still do a good job for United. He's not good enough anymore and hasn't been for a while. I don't think it's anything got to do with the players around him either. The players around him in the Ireland national team have largely stayed the same and his decline in that team has been evident.
