Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. Great game of football. Liverpool did well to hang on for a point.

Ffs, wasted too many golden chances in the first half when well on top and then after 50 mins just sat back. Frustrating.

Fair result. Arsenal had more than enough chances to win it but that's football.

Liverpool fans giving out about diving is all abit Pot Kettle Negrito if you ask me.

2-2 was probably a fair result, but we could have easily nicked it right at the death there.

Phew, odd game, cant help feeling Liverpool were lucky, but when you tot up the chances

Poor tactics by Rodgers to be honest in the second half, roll on the Eithad

Great game of football. Liverpool did well to hang on for a point.

They were the better side for the last 10 minutes and should have won it.

Disappointing to have all the ball and only come away with a point. Still, great character to come back, considering we had to play most of the game with 10 men.

You would get it hard to pick a good team out of the two of them. Error ridden performances.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 25,775 ✭✭✭✭kfallon

Great game for the neutral no doubt.

Absolutely criminal to let a 2 goal lead slip within 5-6 mins of getting the second.

What a damp squid way to end the game staring at a blank monitor :(

    2-2

Would have taken the draw so won't moan about the result but it could have been so much better/worse!

would have taken the draw before the game but after being 2-0 up its kind of a downer now.

    great game though.

    Bottlers.

    Fcuking bottlers.

0-2 up. 60 mins gone and no capacity to withstand at all.

On the other hand I would have settled for a point there tonight. Away from home, carrying Lucas in midfield still. For me, a point is acceptable.

In fairness, we weren't great. Thankfully Arsenal were sub schoolboy standard at the back.

We're just reminding people that not only Suarez dives.

That hurts more than the Oldham game. How the fcuk did we throw away two goals like that?

Sums up our season really, soft as ****e, no substance, no character. Carra getting MoTM just to rub things in. Ugh!!

Man of the match goes to Quazzie.

A performance like I haven't seen in years.

    Carragher gets MOTM

I'd say there was a certain amount of it probably being one of his last games, so he was going to get it if it could be justified at all. They were setting it up since before the game even kicked off.

Liverpool blew that against what is a really ordinary Arsenal team.

Comical defending to concede the goal, far too often it's still happening. Slip by Sagna, Vermaelen fails to clear, Mert fails to get a block in. They've steadied since a little but still look incredibly vulnerable and Santos only makes that worse.

On the other side of the coin Cazorla, Wilshere and Walcott have looked good and the link up play for some of the chances created was quality at times.

Need to come flying out of the traps and take some of the chances that will surely come our way.

Prediction 2-2 but praying for 3-1

    Come on Arsenal!

Not too far off the mark... but really feel that's 2 points dropped. Vastly superior for most of the second half in almost every department.

Santos' error at the end to let them in, really he would have needed shooting if the Pool had stolen it from that.

Hmm, not really. Thats a pretty poor Arsenal team. Terrible defence and lack so much. That Giroud is some plank, fair enough, he can hit the target from 4 yards out, but only if its on his head.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,787 ✭✭✭Jayob10

so many stupid free's we give away, learn how to tackle ffs

Liverpool are just not comfortable when teams run at them, we turn to putty without the ball

I know Arsenal players have been booked for diving but I'm just saying it's a bit rich of a Liverpool fan to call Arsenal "vile" because of it. It's like a United fan complaining that Spurs had too much injury time a fortnight ago :)

Everton away, City at home, Stoke away.

Completely unable to capitalise on early advantages.

There's not much between the teams if the truth be told.

Well, 3 points to be exact :)

Two points dropped but I guess a sign of progress that we are up there with the worst side competing for Cl places.

Most disappointing thing from a defensive point of view was that Ground scored...Wenger should splash the cash during the summer and have his feet amputated, and heads grafted onto the bottom of each leg...could be a decent player then.

Also well done Henderson great turnaround by him.

It takes a good plank to score 5 goals in a week :P

You don't think that's an ordinary Arsenal team? Regardless of your views on Liverpool that Arsenal team is pretty average.

Wilshere is too good, was hiding behind the couch every time he had the ball.

True, either team could have won it. Comical defending and Arsenal having another 5 minute goal spree to pull a draw out of the fire.

That said, I don't think a Liverpool fan can be massively unhappy with a draw based on what we watched.
