Ex-demo couch (further discount?)

    Hello all, just looking for advice.
    Herself picked out a couch in a shop, reduced by just over 25%.
    They just rang her to say that they only have the floor model available.
    Should there be a discount on that, due to the fact that its been out in the public domain or not?

    probably yes, but there under no obligation to give you a further discount,never hurts to ask though

    I'd reckon there should be a further reduction alright.

    If not you should be entitled to your money back as they can't give you what you paid for.

    display model should have a significant reduction on top of the price agreed on a new model to be honest.

    Completely up to the retailer if they want to offer a further discount. From the retailers point of view if it is a really good bargain and some one will buy the display model at the 25% off then why reduce it further? If they won't find it easy to sell then they will probably reduce it further so you will take it off their hands.

    +1 on that. You agreed a price for a new couch - I would definitely be looking for at least another 20% off (preferably 25%) for a floor model, assuming it has very little wear and absolutely no damage.
