Howdy folks! This is a thread for Limerick City's newest amateur drama group; which you'll find in The White House Bar every Tuesday at 7pm!!!

The idea of the group is simple; we're a drop-in, drop-out style group; you can just show up at The White House at 7pm next Tuesday, or any indeed any Tuesday, and if you don't like it or if you can't make it this week, no hassle! (Although we'd obviously love to see you every week)

We're a friendly group, so you need not be nervous about giving it a go. Likewise, we're inclusive and supportive; which means, whether you have loads of experience in drama or none, there's always a place for you!

Workshops will vary from week to week but will focus on all aspects of theatre. For example, character development, improv, script reading, storytelling...and if you have experience and think you'd like to run a workshop, we'll be delighted to have you run a workshop with us.

And this thread is for all things LCD related. If you learned something from this week's workshop, let us know! If you have ideas, throw them out there! And if you just want to say hi, then, welcome, and hi!

So what's in store for us this Tuesday at 7, Dani?

We're doing some character development activities in the workshop tonight. These activities explore some unique ways of developing both the physical and more intrinsic aspects of a character. It will be a very hands on and interactive workshop, looking forward to it :)

Be at the White House Bar at 7! :)

Hey guys, just a quick update on the upcoming, awesome news we have to share with you all! And that update, is to let you know that there's some awesome news to come! We can't give anything away just yet, but what we can say, is that we found something tonight that may very well rock your freaking socks off!

Meanwhile, while we want to maintain a relaxed and comfortable environment for learning and fun, we want you to help us build it. We want to create a drama group that's as much about you as it is about the group. As much about owning a part of it, as it is being a part of it. As such, we'll be giving you the floor very soon in our first official meeting; to listen to whatever you have to say. Whatever your ideas are, we want to hear them. It doesn't matter if it's a big or a small idea, whether you want to learn how to create a character or want to direct a play that you wrote and are applying to the West End with!

For the moment though, you're going to have to bear with us (awh :( ). But we would ask that if anybody who is interested in joining us to drop either myself (Chris) or Dani (Dani2287) a message with the following.

    Your name,
    Your phone number
    What nights you are available

We'll be sure to keep you in the loop as we move forward and things begin to get exciting (which they will do, very quickly!). You're going to want to be a part of this!!!
