I have to go on a quick trip to North America (US and Canada) - I just use an old Nokia Express Music here and it has worked for me everywhere else in the world but just getting a bit concerned if its triband (is that word even used any more). If not I think I have an old nokia 6310 somewhere and I'm pretty sure that will work in US.

The 5130 will work, but the 6310 wouldn't

Thanks for that - good to hear.

But I know the 6310 does work there as it is triband and I specifically got it back in the olden days when I worked a lot in the US for that very purpose - also it was identical to the work issued mobile also designed for use in the US and Canada by staff.
