Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

What was Gleisons walk in song? Blanking here.

Are you guys watching on UFC.tv or something? ESPN went to an ad break and I don't think I heard any walkout songs.

    Don't think it really matters.

It'll be a miracle if that bet comes in.

Not really, that's a pretty tight bet, middle 3 i'd agree with, Aldo/Edgar could go either way, the only slightly dodgy one is McCall

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,257 ✭✭✭✭MrStuffins

I'm gonna put it out there................

    McCall by UD!

  • Registered Users Posts: 85 ✭✭Papav3r

McCall is probably more heart than head but I felt he could have won that first Johnson fight.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,868 ✭✭✭Andersonisgod

Anyone know what McCalls walk out music is?

Title shot on the line here?

There doesn't seem to be a lot of options after the Dodson fight.

i can never understand this, i've been to 7 events now, and for every one i've been in my seat for the first fight of the night.

Ticket Sales in the U.S have gone down hill big time, i've heard the Rousey fight is only at 55% sales so far, yet everytime they come to the UK/Ireland it sells out pretty damn quick

    makes no sense

  • Site Banned Posts: 5,676 ✭✭✭jayteecork

    jaysus close one.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,945 ✭✭✭✭scudzilla

    i got that 29-28 Benavidez (1st & 3rd)

But seeing recent judging that 3rd round could go either way

  • Registered Users Posts: 85 ✭✭Papav3r

    benavidez I'd say.

Such a close fight but probably fair enough.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,868 ✭✭✭Andersonisgod

I don't understand why the crowd are booing a correct decision.

Must be a big fight mentality from boxing, with the undercard not mattering as much.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,257 ✭✭✭✭MrStuffins

I don't understand why the crowd are booing a correct decision.

It would see US MMA fans will boo anything.

It'll get to the point where there'll be fights like Griffin v Bonnar and they'll be booing!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,257 ✭✭✭✭MrStuffins

    Fitch by KO!

    LOL J/K............ Fitch by UD

Christ id nearly give that a 10-8 to Maia. Dont think fitch even landed a token strike

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,970 ✭✭✭Lenin Skynard

Wow Maia never looked so aggressive until he moved to this weight class.

F*ck the fans booing at any fight where they're on the ground wrestling and trying for subs.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,054 ✭✭✭✭Professey Chin

Id say grappling with Maia is just like being vacuum-packed

  • Registered Users Posts: 94 ✭✭12thofthe12th

Taste of his own medicine for fitch.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,257 ✭✭✭✭MrStuffins

Maia just beat probably the 3rd best WW of all time and it wasn't even close.

There's probably no reason he couldn't do the same thing to GSP IMO!

The difference between Fitch and GSP is HUGE.

Not a chance Maia could even get close to doing that to GSP.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,868 ✭✭✭Andersonisgod

    Fitch has been Fitched.

Great performance by Maia, completely dominant, he could be a real factor in the welterweight division.

I agree with your first statement.

I'm not so sure about your second one. I'm not sure how exactly GSP could stop him doing what he just did.

Taste of his own medicine for fitch.

Sums it up perfectly. Much more entertaining to watch a BJJ expert doing it than a wrestling expert.

I think GSP can just stick him on his back for 5 rounds.

We all know he doesn't finish fights these days but his wrestling is better than anyone in the welterweight division that he can put anyone on their back and keep them there.
