Chang Ming is a young boy born in the Year of the Snake under a full moon who has been chosen to play on the school football team. However, when he finds out that the game is on the same day as Chinese New Year’s Day and his parents have organised his first visit to China to meet his grandmother, Chang Ming is not happy!

I won’t go to China is a children’s book by Enda Wyley beautifully illustrated by Maire Thorhaugh at Cartoon Saloon from O’Brien Press Bridges Programme. A special workshop with the author along with animation sessions, is the focus of DCC Libraries Children’s programme for DCNYF 2013. All workshops will run from 6th – 8th February.
