Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Is there such a thing as a quiet kettle?

We've a Tefal kettle which sounds like a hurricane when it boils!!

    Thanks.

most of the "rapid boil" kettles are also described as "quiet" but are anything but quiet, The best is a normal kettle which might cost about €20 and boils in the normal time without doing a song and dance.

i had a metal kettle for a few years, pretty loud, i bought a plastic one from argos, its silent, i have to keep touching it to see if its boiled. Its a thin plastic, couldnt see it lasting long though.

    Ah no, not at all.
Just looking for a kettle quieter than a hurricane. Perfection would be silence!

Microwave - cheaper and quieter way to boil water.

Better again is an induction hotplate
