I think it gonna fall as sleet and rain on West coast with the atlantic influence. Gettin bucket load of snow on the east as more sheltered? Anyone agree or am I talking rubbish lol?

Actual blizzard here now in D24, 105m asl.

Still a wee bit sleety though I think - its sticking, but not as much as I'd expect for such a heavy fall.
Turned to proper snow now. Sticking away

I think the east and midlands could do better out of this than the west and I'm in Castlebar...Frig all happening here so far, showers are just of hail with the odd flake of snow..and showers are short in duration. Will see what happens later.
Well we have a nice bit off snow here near knock airport..just under half inch now and plenty more showrrd to come.

    New update from met.ie

    04 February 2013 23:15

    Today

Extremely windy overnight, with strong to gale force westerly winds, gusting to between 80 and 110 km/h, strongest in exposed parts of the north and west. Bitterly cold also, with a mix of clear spells and frequent showers, many of them falling as hail, sleet and snow, with a risk of some accumulations and possibly blizzard conditions in places with the strong winds. There is also a risk of scattered thunderstorms. Minimum temperatures minus 1 to plus 1 Celsius, with a risk of icy stretches.

DP of -2 here now and temp of 0

If this keeps up and showers head this way then we could have a good covering tomorrow

Do you have your own weather station by any chance with an accurate temp/DP reading? According to irelandsweather, Temps/DPs are still high for us? No? I'm hanging out the window here staring at the lamp post :pac:

We saw a flash over that area about 10 mins ago, from our window here in Dublin 14. Didn't hear the thunder though, the wind is too loud in our apartment!
