Had a great day walking around carlow today while eldest was at a birthday party! Got a new christmas jumper in penny's and had a browse through heatons christmas section! They had a gorgeous wooden sleigh in 3 sizes. Can't post pics from mobile :P spent ages looking for an elf hat. My eldest is singing in the christmas choir in December and dress coat is christmas jumpers and elf hats ! As if I need an excuse to spend more time browsing through the shops :P

If you have a 2euro shop in Carlow you might get an elf hat there, my cousin got an elf Christmas jumper plus elf hat there in Dublin last Christmas and she won best dressed on a girls Christmas night out good luck,

Was in Debenhams in Henry Street today. They had their stocking fillers section out just as your going up the 1st Escalators.

Saw a few more advent calanders; Jellybean, Thorntons, a whiskey flavored chocolate version & a Frozen themed one for anyone who may have a Frozen obsessed little one at home. Sorry i didn't manage to get any pics or price them.

Also ventured into the Christmas section in Arnotts afterwards, was like walking through a little Christmas forest.

I did a little Christmas tour of the shops earlier. Not much in Dunnes yet apart from gift bags and stuff like that. Penneys has some lovely things. They have nice Christmas mugs and the tree decorations are lovely. Their Christmas jumpers are disappointing though. I picked up the Boots Christmas brochure so I'm going to have a good look through that later and I got the M&S food porn Christmas food brochure too. M&S also has all the wrapping and cards out. It was lovely walking out of the food section straight into the Christmas section. I only had a quick look in Debenhams at the gifts so I'm not sure what else they have. And Tiger finally has their Christmas stuff in, including that penguin cookie jar that was posted ages ago. I didn't bother getting it because it was too big and we really have no use for it. I got a light up Santa thing instead. It was a lovely way to spend the morning.

Thanks for the reminder ! I need to get that penguin cookie jar! They were only putting their stuff out other day but heatons looked like they had some lovely bits this year ! Sounds like you had a lovely day Toto Wolfcastle

For gift boxes you could try stationery shops like easons. Tk Max and ikea also do lovely boxes.

For the last couple of years I think the likes of Dunnes & Penneys have been selling these gift boxes too however it may be a bit early for them yet.

Got a new suite of furniture and had to rearrange my living room. Don't think I'm going to have space now for one of my Christmas trees.
Husband says the one up on the landing will do. No need for two trees.
    He hasn't a bloody clue!

98fm's Ray Foley's naked breakfast returns this year Friday the 27th of November (the same day as the toy show) last year they encouraged people to dress up Christmassy and they used the show as the launch of their Christmas season on 98fm.

It's a really good way to kick off a very Christmassy day! :D
