    Hi All
Got a call today from a company called NE media solutions
They were offering me a website designed free. And it was
€190 per month to have it on the web. No contract, Month
by month basis. and if I pull out after a month I still have the
    website to keep.
So is it too good to be true? I'm looking for snags? Does anyone
know anything about this company? They were a bit pushy about
selling it and I needed to act quick so it would be on first page of google search
This is when I got a bit anxious. Just want to be sure before I sign up for anything

    Cheers

    Too good to be true.

Also, your google page ranking has no bearing on how long the website is online for. You get it through S.E.O and having interesting content on your website which users return for. The fact that they told you this is alarming and should be a warning for you.

I would be sceptical about being able to take the website with you as well. Does this mean they give you the files? I really doubt they would in the situation you described.

You are far better off buying a website outright and paying the annual hosting fee. It would be a lot more economical than €190 a month!

    Avoid at all costs.

This is first of all a rip-off at €190 a month.

Secondly, the whois is from a residential address and suggests it is the brass plate for an India-based operation. Most often these rae hard sell and poor quality operations.

Thirdly, there seems to be something not quite right about the company's registration at Companies House re a previous incarnation.

Lastly, as previously mentioned the promise of first page is normally a danger sign and the act quickly is pure scaremongering nonsense.

Sounds like a Business Pro Designs clone/clown.

    Thanks guys
Yeah €190 a month seems very excessive.
and even if I wanted a web page designed probably
best to get a company that specialises in this alone.

    cheers

While I agree this is a scam, the above is not correct.

Care to explain how? It might be factored in by Googles ranking algorithm but I'd expect the difference to be negligible. In the context of how they were saying it to the OP, it was incorrect.

i.e The website will be ranked higher if it is added today rather than tomorrow.

I got a call from them monday. They were telling me for £150 i would be 1st in the google rankings and that i needed to act quickly as they were talking to my competitors and that they cant take 2 conflicting accounts.
As i questioned him further about how they could get me to #1, it turns out that they manage a google adwords account for you.
Now i am already running adwords and while not brilliant at it, i am learning.
My quality score is 7/10 average for the ads and they promised that for 10% commission they can write ads for me that score 10/10. Now it would make sense that if my ads were scoring 10/10 then my cost per click would go down therefore i would still be spending the same money having better quality ads and also i would have no need to manage it.
It sounded good and it would be something that i would be willing to pay for.
But as with everything, i told him them to email me details and ring back on Thursday.

With some digging i found this post and and another site with lots of complaints, basically they seem to keep taking money of peoples credit cards.
When you read their terms and conditions,i find them suspicious especially the 30 day cancellation notice.
Needless to say i wont be signing up.
