    AFAIK only if they are on a permanent visa, not a 457 visa etc..

    Google australia visa booklet 6, it has info on it.

    Sponsorship by a relative
    If you have a relative living in a ‘Designated Area’ who is willing to sponsor you, he or she will need to be
    an Australian citizen, permanent resident or ‘eligible New Zealand citizen’ (see page 5). You or your
    partner must be related to your sponsor as:
    • a non-dependent child or non-dependent step-child;
    • a parent or step-parent;
    • a brother or sister, step-brother or step-sister;
    • a niece or nephew, step-niece or step-nephew;
    • an aunt or uncle, step-aunt or step-uncle;
    • a fi rst cousin; or
    • a grandchild or step-grandchild.
    If you are relying on sponsorship by a person related to your partner, your partner must also be included
    in your application.
    To ensure the processing of your application is not delayed, please include a diagram of your family
    tree with your application. You will also need to include all relevant documents as evidence of your
    relationship to your sponsor and their residential address.
    If you are seeking an invitation for this visa on the basis of family sponsorship, when you submit your EOI
    you will need to provide details of your sponsor. Your sponsor must be an eligible relative living in a
    designated area.

    But as they are not finished their own sponsorship commitments until November, I'll have to wait until then and as I have finished my first and second year WHvisa, would I still be eligable

    Booklet 6 indicates that your brother needs to be looking at visa subclass 189,190 or 489.
    http://www.immi.gov.au/allforms/booklets/1119.pdf
    Lots of stuff in there but near the end I saw

    that for you to qualify as his dependent, you need to be wholly or substantially financially reliant on him for financial support for your basic needs of food, shelter and clothing and that you have been reliant on him for that support for a substantial period.........You would need a lot of supporting evidence for this.

    If your brother is still getting sponsored himself he is unlikely to be a permanent resident or citizen so he can't sponsor you any other way as far as I can see, but open to correction.

    Its not a free pass, relative sponsorship just buys 10 points

    For his type of temporary visa you still need to have an occupation on the Skilled occupation list, a skill assessment, meet all the requirements and score 60 points on skill select.

    You might as well go for State sponsored PR unless your stuck for 5 points.

    Plus that only applies if the sibling is a PR not if they themselves are sponsored.
