Pics or GTFO (as the kidz would say)

I'll have one up at some point tonight then, my Roach looks cool as well, solid gold blinders and the trophy I got from the camerlengo in Toussaint. :)

EDIT: There was probably a far easier way to upload a screenshot without taking a picture of it with my phone and resizing it, but here it is in all its glory:

never mind that tell us about The Witcher game
I do like it, but it's one of those games you need to be able to sit and play for a longer period.

Didn't play 1 or 2 so most of the lore is lost on me.

someone popping in at that exact moment would have been pretty feckin' awkward. "Oh so this is that 'game' you've been raving about and spent 100+ hours on, is it?" :o:p
Is it really any different than something like Game of Thrones? Unless you're 15 years old or something.

Course it's too big, he's no muscle on him, not enough protein in his diet of apples and Erveluce! :pac:

Nah, just a funny one to explain to the room mate who's not in any way interested in games since there'd no context etc. Would basically just look like a porn game. :p

Looking very spiffy! I find the easiest way to upload a PIC is to hit the share button, upload to twitter and then copy the PIC from there. Even if you've no interest in twitter, worth setting up just to upload pics and share where you want.

Anyone else come across the Hanse Base at the north end of Touissaint? Won't spoil anything but holy hell what a battle that is. Please tell me there's more of those bases?

There are 3 of them I have found so far.

One in the broken castle, one in the broken elven palace (feline diagrams) and one in the Knight mission(15 targets) its northeast on the map.

Stuck on a werewolf now. :(

trying to use igni to prevent / slow the health regen but not working too well.

Leave it and go back later. I was stuck for an hour or so trying to kill my first one, and just left it.

Yea, it's in crookback bog. I am supposedly a level above what the quest recommends but this werewolf is pickling my head.

Put some cursed oil on your blade.

Use axii to stun him then use heavy attack, rinse and repeat. By the time he is making ready to counter axii will be charged up again. See if you can craft some devils puffball bombs too, they will stop the health regeneration for a little while but you shouldn't need them with the axii/heavy attack combo.

    Don't have any of that.

Can try that, but I have no ability points in heavy attack, mine are in quick.

I was the same and it wasn't an issue. Just hit him maybe twice then back off and stun him with axii again.

Just finished HoS. Incredible. It just feels so fresh even after all of the hours I have played in the main game.

Gaunter O'Dimm reminds me so much of Ramsey Bolton (the way he speaks). I'll miss him! :(

Just killed the last guy in blood and wine, one of the best games DLCs I have ever played.

Noone died except the bad guy, once you take his wings off he fairly easy.

  • Registered Users Posts: 21,390 ✭✭✭✭martyos121

Well that was easily the most enjoyable 201 hours and 3 minutes I've ever spent gaming. Sad that I've it done, but on the other hand I've not really played anything else since June so I can finally get through the auld backlog.

On the other hand, New Game Plus.....:pac:

This is, I think, the only game I can recall that's made me consider a New Game Plus run...

Mind you, I've only started the Hearts of Stone DLC content now.

what difficulty should one play this one if one is a bit of a lapsed gamer?
Haven't played dark souls either btw. (I know it's not hard in that sense but seems to be mentioned in this thread as a comparative).

Sword and Story should be a bit of a challenge without being too demanding. You can always drop it back to Just the Story if it is.

I just finished Heart of Stone. It was an interesting story, not world changing but fun and a nice off-shoot style from the regular story.

    Couple of observations:
I'm frustrated to find out that all Master Crafted armour has the same rating and that only the buffs differ. I figured I'd get Bear first cause it was the tankiest, but I just more or less bankrupted myself to get Master Crafter Cat armour and now, oh you saucy fecking minx of a game, you're tempting me with super pimp Olferi armour AND This Viper school stuff which is intriguing to say the least (I don't remember picking up the diagrams for anything except a Sword and I picked the other one up in the last mission with Master Mirror.

    Blood and Wine awaits...

I didn't bother getting any of the master witcher armour. It seems like a bit of a chore to be honest, for something I don't really want. Are the quests interesting?

I haven't gotten any master level stuff but the treasure hunts I've done generally just consist of scanning a small area with your witcher senses. They're probably the least interesting quests in the game but they are very short in fairness too.

Just started Blood and Wine myself.

Trying to take it slow as i know there's nothing more after this. :(

Actually forgoing playing it, as once i complete a game, it's usually left untouched afterwards...
