New DLC coming this week, possible witcher vs witcher? sounds promising.

Could be an extension to Lambert's quest. Every time we bump into cat school guys they are assholes though.

Hey guys you know when you move places 1st ...(only got the game last week) can you travel back and forth because i'm currently on level 4 yet it says hunting the witch you should be level 5 is this about right as I was going to go back to the 1st place and grind like ****

Yeah, there's no problem going back to the first place. You'll be able to get back there from any fast travel point once you get the hang of them.

I'm just after getting the Ciri quest off Yenn so yeah I definitly should be a higher level , anyway I'm off tomorow so I'm going to do a bit of work on that all while Batman is still sitting on my shelf untouched

You can't grind. Each enemy only gives you 1xp after the first time you kill them so there's no way to level up except for quests.

Level 4 is about the highest you can get from White orchard alone. In the early game it's fairly common to get quests that are 10+ levels above your current level. Just keep doing level appropriate quests in the mean time.

I didn't mean grind in the regular sense but I'm going to go back and search out all those question marks

Yeah I OCD cleared that first place before moving onto the next :D

That's not accurate either. The minimum xp is 2 and many enemies give you more based on their level. How many times you kill them doesn't matter.

The minimum xp must depend on the difficulty, it's 1 on death march. But you're right over-levelled enemies do give more but it's still not enough to make grinding viable especially if you're doing it in White Orchard. I'm pretty sure you get some extra xp for bestiary entries which should unlock after the first kill which is what I meant by the first kill netting more xp.

I think someone posted a while back a full summary of the Witcher lore to read up on before they dove into the third instalment?

Can that person post that again? Just bought it today.

New Quest dlc "Where the Cat & Wolf play" available to download now on XB1. Also, just realised I have a good few dlcs not installed for this. I had just purchased them through Xbox smartglass but not actually downloaded them, whoops!

This game has become a slog for me. I love it, but doing all the quests is just tiring. Doing one quest and I find more sidequests, that lead to more sidequests. I feel like I'll never finish it!!

But I guess that does make a good simulator for being a Witcher :p

Yeah I was the same. Was getting sick of it so took a 3 week break from it. Now it's all fun again :D

Just wait until ye get to Skellige, and most of the ?'s are in the frickin water!!!

Aye, I think I'll take a break and play Arkham Knight :)

I'm well past Skellige. I did maybe, 5-10? of the side quests there, before getting fed up of them.

So this is Denise Gough from Ennis, Co. Clare who does the voice of Yennefer:

I never would have guessed it was an Irish woman doing Yennefer's voice tbh, that's voice training I suppose!

    &

This is Sarah Greene from Cork who did voice of Cerys an Craite:

She was also 1 of the escorts/hookers from the film "The Guard" some of ye may remember :D

    I love IMDB :p

I've only finished the game recently so I don't know if it's been mentioned yet but has anyone noticed the amount of gaeilge used in the game? The most obvious use is on Skellige (Skellig/Sceilige islands) with the main part being called Árd (High) Skellige. A greeting is used too (by the elves I think) that goes, "céadmílle". Clearly the beginning of céad míle fáilte. I know I've seen and heard more examples but I can't think of them now but I have to commend the game writers. Too often in fantasy fiction languages are just made up to suit whomever uses them. Sharp, germanic sounds for the bad guys, soft, poetic sounds for the good guys (invariably the elves). The Witcher 3 uses already existing languages much like Tolkien did and it seems much more real. Maybe not the biggest detail in the game but certainly an effective one...

There's a dead give away in the late game that she's Irish. There's a place called Deireadh, everyone pronounces it day-rag except Yen who uses the proper Irish pronunciation.

Not to mention Skellige is populated by fighty redheads.

Just did this last night. Was literally laughing out loud. The slurring of the words, the stumbling around the place.....the
    dressing in Yen's clothes
    . Was brilliant!

It was a brilliant moment, followd by an absolutely brilliant
castle siege. Was great seeing the people i'd brought to help actually doing some cool stuff. Zoltan is a badass :P Shame it ended the way it did :(

Really loving this game now. Only level 9 having just picked it up last week, but damn, the game is so layered. So much to do.

Millions of hours played but strangely still don't think Geralt is a likable character. I'm not sure what it is.
