    His thread about Kim-jong Un's Fun Family Happy Joy Hour was my starting point, and I haven't looked back since. Their best work is most definitely How To Blow Up America - Ten Ways Weekly.

    The US version is good but the Ireland one isn't. I had it for two months and gave up on it. The idea of it is good but I find that it's not updated enough me. If it improves I would consider getting it back.

    It's updated at the start of every month and then throughout the month they will add the odd thing. Sky movies adds about 5 new films a week and I've noticed that a lot of them are cheap, made for TV drama's that would be more at home on True Entertainment.

    Had Standard Definition Sky movies for a month last year then cancelled, was about 4 films worth watching in that time for €30, I watch about 8 films and 3 tv shows a month for €7 most of them are HD, if you do the maths there is simply no comparison.

    A packet of Fags is 9 quid or so.....

    Of course it's worth it.

    The content for the price you're getting is nothing short of sensational imo - To stream in HD when you want, is something I've been waiting to do for so long.

    I've Kids..... For 50 quid I bought a Roku streamer & put it in their room, cartoons & young girlie stuff keeps them so quiet when MY Football is on!! - Sure I'd pay 50 quid a month if Netflix asked!!

    Honestly... it's the future & it has to be the best thing I've signed up to in a long time.

    Sky is beyond a rip-off now, this is so ideal if you're on a tight budget.

    and replays them ad infinitum, least you can pick what you watch on Netflix.

    I cancelled the sky, got freeview and Netflix and love it. It's beyond belief about no discussion of the region blocking as even Netflix probably relies on this for more customers. Is an extension in the chrome store illegal also? Find it OTT but I suppose boards has to mind their back from Sherlock :-)

    Anyway, well worth it. Sometimes I can find the same documentaries on YouTube but even when I get a lot of buffering on YT, Netflix plays perfect. They must have some server!

    Forgot to mention I love the fact I can watch it anywhere - on the phone, on the laptop or even just log into it on the library computers.

    Love it, have always watched it in the states and so glad it is here, have the US version and my family have also adopted netflix now, they never turn on the satellite receiver or terrestrial channels anymore.

    Also house of cards is another reason which adds to the value of it.

    I feel like Netflix is the only option which does not take advantage of customers in europe, it did not raise prices significantly from their US market which I find nice, as opposed to Sky who seem to constantly increase the price of their product in relation to the UK prices.

    My young fella (5) refused to watch sky anymore (Boomerang, CN, etc) as the ads were annoying him so much and I got sick of being called every 10mins and asked to fast forward even the live tv :) Netflix is just brilliant for kids. I really don't know what the future of TV is going to be, will probably evolve with smart tv apps, but I can't see the generation growing up now watching conventional tv anymore anyway with ad breaks every 10mins.

    In 6 months, between the family we've watched:
    all of House of Cards, Breaking Bad, Modern Family, Melissa & Joey, iCarly, Gavin & Stacey, Dr. Who, Ned's Declassified, How I Met your Mother,
    and about 20 films.

    I'd say 300 hours viewing, for €40. At 10c/hour, I have to say, it's amazing value. And best of all, there's no ads.

    Netflix for Ireland is like that side street Video rental store from the 90`s with all the B movies and crap but without the half decent Porn section

    Best to avoid until they realize that trash and p1ss poor content will not do for the Irish market

    I love my Netflix.

    €7 quid a month is nothing really. Its pretty much just one below par chicken curry from your local Asian themed restraunt.

    I can watch all of the Netflix content on my mobile, HTPC, laptop, my girlfriends smart tv and on her mobile.

    Its easy to navigate and tons of content in a higher defination than the ordinary bloke on the street would expect.

    Product placement isn't for cheapskates who never buy anything.

    Friend has it and tbh I wasn't impressed with the catalog. I'd prefer an extra cinema trip once a month.

    The irish version most definitely isn't worth while, you'll watch all the good stuff over the course of the initial free trial, however, having seen the US version it's most definitely worth the €7, and the great thing is - cancelling the service couldn't be easier.

    It's better for tv shows but there are a few good movies. Best thing to do is have a look through it yourself and decide whether it has a good enough selection to hold your interest. This site combined with unblock us makes it worth the €7 (+ $5 for unblock us).

    TBH though for films you're probably better off with lovefilm or one of the many newcomers. Netflix is by far the best for TV though.

    I don't know what I'm reading here about free versions being poor quality in relation to superior Netflix.
    All episodes are available in 720p and films in 1080p so I don't think that comparison stands.

    On another point with FTA, Saorview and Netflix you'd pretty much have all the entertainment you'd need for €7 a month.

    I found this page

    Your link doesn't work.

    Netflix has a search box on the top right of the page (when viewing the website). Type into that and you get a list. As for browsing, there are categories at the top of the page and arrows right and left to browse.

    It's not TV you know. They don't have listings. Seems fairly straightforward.
