Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Does anyone know is there a separate budget for Physics, Biology at leaving cert level and Science and J.C. Level.

My school seem to think it is one allocation.

We have very little equipment. I tried to find the information on the departments website but could not find it.

    Thanks,

    Paul.

I didnt think there was any allocation at all....we have a decent amount of equipment in my school but its because we got a new lab a few years ago and the dept equip them fully...also my boss is decent enough and gives us money most of the time we ask him for stuff....(we only ask for essentials in fairness)

From my experience some schools give departments budgets others schools don't they just have a central fund.

With the central fund it can be easier spending but you must get approval for every little thing, where as with you own budget it is up to you to decide how you spend it.

I would imagine, from experience in different schools, that there is one budget for the Sciences, one for the technologies etc. etc. I don't ever remember hearing of a separate budget for individual subjects.

We would have a budget for the Woodwork department but that would have to include Woodwork, Construction Studies, Tech. Graphics and DCG. Although from an outsider they might seem all the same really they each have very different spending requirements but we would have to work this from one budget like in your situation
