Hi all, I am getting a Lone parent payment of 200 a week and was getting a half rate of JSB which I have now lost since they dont do any duel payments anymore. Im really feeling the pinch now. I am waiting for carers allowance to come through since i applied last May as I left my old job to care for both my parents ( my mother is fighting cancer and my dad had an accident that left him in hospital for over 2 months) - im just wondering is there anything that i can do to boost up the money again? Im looking at some temp jobs to fit around hospital apts and school hours ( i have a 9 year old) - i dont think i could commit to the hours of the job bridge and if I am right I think a Ce scheme will bring me up to 228 a week - which is looking like an option at the moment. Is there anything else that I am missing? Thanks in advance

To get the FIS she needs to be working 19 hours per week.
She has applied for Carers, the conditions of which are that she is only working 15 hours per week. Applying for FIS could affect her claim for Carers.
