Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi there,
Just wondering where's the best place to go to research the historical owners of a particular property. I'm researching when lands were bought by my ancestors and wondering where best to start!

    Thanks in advance

The Valuations Office in the Irish Life Building, Dublin have records going back to Griffith's Valuations in the mid 1800s. You can see every change of ownership to any given property. However it's not easy to accurately pinpoint a date, as, from my experience, the changes were noted any time up to a year after the takeover. You just need to give them the address and span of years you want to look at. They're very helpful.

Thanks for that. Is this something thats possible to do online, or do you need to visit the offices?
