Are these badge-engineering of some kind? If so, with who? Are there other makes that are made by Sthil or Husqvarna and what would be the differences other than colour?

Makita chainsaws are from the Dolmar stable.

As far as I know Stihl don't manufacture under any other name but Husqvarna do. Husqvarna make McCulloch, Gardena (I think), Jonsered and a few others.
