Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Do you mean voluntary redundancy or temporary lay off? Will you be getting a P45?
You can't be told to take voluntary redundancy, you can be offered it.

Either way assuming you have sufficient contributions and are available, fit and actively looking for work you can claim Jobseekers Benefit.

I think it's more of a temporary lay off.....so I should be asking for my P45 before I agree to any lay off

    Yeah I have sufficient contributions

    Thanks

It is is temp lay off you won't get a P45 you should get a form called an RP9. You can apply for JB then as normal and just sign off after the period of temp lay-off.

Beware a lengthy lay-off period, some ER's use this as a means to get people to leave without having to pay redundancy. You are entitled to ask for P45 and redundancy after 8 weeks( I think) if you feel this is what they are doing. They can't leave you on temp lay-off indefinitely, but chances of getting more work from them if you went down this avenue would be curtailed.
