UCD Rifle Club is pleased to announce that we will hold the UCD February Air Open 2013, on Thursday 14th and Sunday 17th February at UCD Rifle Club Range, UCD, Belfield.

This is an open competition for 10 metre Air Rifle and Air Pistol.

Competitions:

• Air Rifle 60 shot
• Air Rifle 40 shot
• Air Pistol 60 shot

Class prizes will also be awarded (based on the first 40 competition shots).


Entry fee: €15 (€10 students/juniors/seniors)


Pre-booking is essential.

Many thanks to everyone who took part in the UCD February Air Open today and Thursday (14th and 17th February). There was a very large turnout, with 48 entries in total over the five details.

Scores were high with many personal bests put in. In the 60 shot air pistol competition DURC's Victoria Mullin steamed to victory putting in a fantastic 568, with Tomas Jakubauskas from Wilkinstown coming in second with 547 and Rathdrums John O'Brien taking third place.

In the 40 shot air rifle competition DURC's Aisling Miller took first place with an impressive score of 391, followed by UCD's Claire Hempenstall in second and Charlotte Cuffe also from UCD in third.

UCD's John Lancaster won the 60 shot air rifle competition with a score of 572, followed by the Defence Forces Terry Wearen in second place and Ciara Deevy from DURC in third.

Congratulations to all our winners and everyone who took part and we hope to see you again at our next competition the UCD April Air Open 2013 on Sunday 7th April.
