Just bear in mind that if you have an argument with your parents or fail your exams, it's not really acceptable in Ireland to go into school and shoot everybody the next day.

Horrormurph, haven't you seen enough crime shows? You have to date the note you're holding up! Otherwise you could have found this image on twitter, of say, Channing Tatum's wife.

Do you realise that in order to become a great writer in Ireland you have to leave the country the first chance you get and set yourself up in France?

Yeah, Limerick is just like the Camargue region in the South of France - lots of wild horses, roaming freely. It's a beautiful sight to behold.

something off putting about those pictures.......The eyes, their dull and lifeless.
This is in fact a 30 year old neck beard and his sex doll.

Of course I would need to see a video of you jumping on a trampoline to be convinced that you're real.

2: Irish women dont like anyone. Not even irish men! Its ok tho, we have polish women. And polish women dont have red hair and freckles and say things like 'scarlett for yur ma for havin ya'.

3: Avoid the northside of dublin and limerick.

4: they spike your drink. Or you'll spike your own drink so you dont have to listen to the bull**** coming from their mouths.

5: Will ya meet/shift me friend?
Usually the friend is nowhere to be seen.

what did limerick ever do to you?

    what's up with your humor?

Truthfully, this is something you would need to get used to. Irish people are very sarcastic and slag each other a lot. If you're not used to it you might find it very offensive.

    1. Ignore People who say avoid North Dublin, lots of it is lovely. Eg, Clontarf, Howth, Malahide.

    2. We're sarcastic bastards, a lot of americans don't get that, you'll need to adjust.

    3. Lastly, nice pics ;):D

Are you catholic? Because you have to be Church of Ireland or England (protestant) to get into Trinity College or any NUI university.

Catholics can only go to the IT's.

why would you come to ireland anyway? is it some romantic ancestorial thing? because you're in for a rude awakening.
Half the people leave or want to leave and the other half spend their time looking desperatly for reasons to love the place.

The main thing about our humour is that people slag each other all the time. If no one is taking the piss out of you, nobody likes you. Don't be offended!

Also, a lot of Irish people think all Americans are stupid. Maybe because of George W Bush and the People of Walmart website. They'll get get over it.

Also, a lot of Irish people think all Americans are Yanks. Don't bother trying to explain why this isn't the case.

As for drinking, you will be asked all the time why you aren't drinking. People in this country just cannot understand why a person wouldn't drink when the opportunity comes up. Everything you've heard about the Irish drinking problem is true and probably worse. Pro tip: drink stuff like coke and tell people there's vodka in it. They'll leave you alone.

The most offensive thing you can do in Ireland is not buy your round. If you're getting into rounds, you MUST buy everyone a drink when your turn comes around. Otherwise you'll be labelled a scab and a tight-arse. If you're not drinking or you're a slow drinker, you're best to insist on buying your own drinks.
