Blacknight server is down again. I have spent a lot of money developing my websites and getting them ranking in search engines, if they keep going down like this, these rankings will be affected, went on to chat and was told that anything I needed to know was on the blog (which it wasn't) and that it wasn't known how long it might take to come back. I am trying to run a business, I dont need more hurdles than are out there already!!

Well maybe for you but I have had multiple outages, with traffic drops after each..

Balls, sorry to hear that, I went to aws for a while but my server got trashed in the power outage and they failed to recover the disk I had a backup but lost confidence in them after that. Tried out azure too which is grand but there seems to be an initial lag regardless of server load. Have been through loads of vps providers always problems. Its seems to be a never ending search.

I hear you, moved all mine from hosting 365 as the service there got very bad after they change of ownership, had some bad experiences with hosting outside of Ireland so decided to stick within the country from there on.. anyways its back now, at least was not a long outage..

The latest chapter in my search provider is that I signed up for a server with edis.at in december heard nothing for days only to discover that the owner had been arrested for running a tor exit node that had been used -unsurprisingly- to transmit child pornography. At that point I gave up for another few months.

Still nothing on the blog maybe we imagined it :pac:

I wish there was a more productive error page.

Not much fun getting a domain parked page. I then have to log in to the Registrar to check everything is all right..

You should look at getting yourself some cloud hosting with a failover solution.

thanks for the tip, it's something I've been thinking of for a while.. do you know if the failover solution is included as standard in most cloud hosting packages?
