Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Ballymun Rent Allowance

    Hi

    Myself and my girlfriend recently became eligible for rent allowance in the Dublin area. The CWO in our area said we can look at any areas in Dublin, just have to apply to the appropriate CWO.
    We are currently living in Coolock and called an estate agent about an apartment in Ballymun we were interested in, only to be told new Rent Allowance applications are not accepted from people outside Ballymun wishing to move to Ballymun.

    Can anyone tell us if this is true or not? We tried calling the Ballymun CWO dealing with RA but got an answering machine.

    And if anyone knows which days/times they are open to go enquire, please.
    Thank you

    Ballymun Civic Centre might be worth a try.I sure there are no restrictions on who lives where or who gets rent allowance.

    You are in Dublin City Council

    Is it possible the estate you're looking at is in Fingal County Council?

    @mp22
    Yeah the civic centre is our next stop. Was just trying to find out exact location and times because the HSE in Coolock has offices all over the place for different things. And the RA offices are only open for 1 hour 2 days of the week here.

    @mikemac1
    Nope, Ballymun is still Dublin City Council. We are eligible for Fingal too though if we wanted to move out a bit.
