Now I might be completely wrong here, but I am quiet surprised that from all of the media I have seen for this match so far, that there hasn't been much on McCarthy lining out against England tomorrow. Now, as a Connacht fan, I have the utmost respect for Macca, but I thought that the media would have went to town on this element in the build up to the game, quiet glad they haven't though.

Good to see that he can just get on with it and focus on the job at hand.

Interview with him in the Sunday Times since you mention it.

Lads if anyone has good streams later for game can you pm them to me.

Im fighting against the great firewall of China to see this match

    Come on Ireland

I'm in the Philippines and my connection was too slow for the streams, but I paid $14.99 for www.setanta-i.com for a month to see the games. They have a low-quality option which is just about ok for my 1MB connection and I managed to watch the game last week with just a few glitches.

Can you re-watch the games afterwards by any chance or do you have to watch live?

Edit - and is it region locked? I'll be in Germany.

I actually prefer that we are "underdogs" anyways :D

We aren't though. The majority expect the team to beat England today. Tis nicer being favourite anyway. :)

I want to watch the game on my iPhone while at work. Is the RTE player streaming it and if so can I watch it on said device?

I've tried watching games on it before on firstrowsports.net but it wouldn't work.

    Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

In Dublin it's drizzly rain and has been all night. It will make for a wet pitch unfortunately.

Down load the player app and it should work. Be sure and have your charger and be sure to hook up to wifi. I suspect it would be a killer on data usage.

If the scrum works today and Sexton plays well, I'd be fairly confident of a win. The English won't relish the idea of playing in Dublin.

I wouldn't be overly worried about the weather. They say it's a great leveler. I think our game is more suited to the wet than England's. Just think we will revel in it more.

Just found an interesting statistic of Englands attacking performances with and without Tuilagi

    http://imgur.com/a/JY8pH#h5Mfwsn

England with Tuilagi - average 26.8 points for, average of 3.1 tries scored
England without Tuilagi - average 16 points for, average of 1 try scored (and those two matches were against Italy and Scotland).

Our game is largely unsuited to the wet, the english game is very suited to it. We don't want a skill leveller because we're the more skillful team, if it turns into a dirty forwards grunty battle then England will triumph, its exactly what they want.

English pack is slower and heavier, soft ground will suit them. I still reckon though messers Healy best and Ross will be intent on making up for last seasons scrummaging horror show. Despite Stephen jones typically bizarre prematch player ratings (Haskell the best back rower on show) if we have a solid scrum, the workload of our second rows and the class of our back rows should see our pack win the game.

On flip side to win we need Darcy on pitch for at least 70 mins, earls cannot mix it physically with tuilagi, Barraitt or 36.

As an aside I'm expecting the ref to follow the unspoken IRB instructions of blowing up for an early engagement at the first scrum.

Here's hoping for another super game, good start to ease the pressure and nerves, hope the crowd can get to Farrell like we did in Thomond Park, get at him and we get st England.

Stephen jones ratings for the players in today's Sunday Times.

    Cian Healy 6/10

    Joe Marler 7/10

FFS....Healy is one the best if not the best loose heads in the world at the moment. Great hands, solid scrummager and a brilliant ball carrier with a couple of HC medals in his arse pocket.

    Marler is eh.....eh....22

Stephen Jones is a muppet of the highest order. He makes George Hooks views look balanced and well considered.

    Pay no heed...

I'm really having a chuckle at the names people are coming up with for Twelvetrees. Looking forward to them getting steadily more ridiculous!

He has Haskell as the best back rower on show. Jones is a goose. He probably still believes Henson is a better player than bod.

I've magically been offered a ticket just now, very excited! It's lashed rain here all night and the forecast is poor so unfortunately that'll suit England. Not overly optimistic but I'm certainly looking forward to making some noise!

Ah, you overlook one very important factor. It's Irish rain, not English rain. They won't be used to playing in it at all :-P

Given the turn of events of this six nations, this could be a grand slam decider today.

Italy and Scotland were never going to be in contention, but the continued slide of the Welsh team and the unprecidented collapse of the French side (they've never lost two 6 nations games in a row in professional history) means that already you'd have to say the only two contenders left are England and Ireland, and none of the other teams look capable of beating either of them.

This game is even more massive now, it's up there with Croke Park and GS decider 2003.

Very concerned this could be a game of aerial ping pong, with Deccie playing it safe against knock-ons in the wet conditions.
