Trouble with my Airtronic heater

Hi I wonder if I could get some advice. My Airtronic heater is coming on and blowing out cold air for a few minutes and then shutting down. The van is plugged into the mains. I feel that it may not be getting diesel into it. There was a smell of fuel for the first few seconds. I havent use it for a good few months. I am going to Baltimore for a week tomorrow...... I could really do with some heat!!!

Thank you Paddyp. I am managing with generator and oil filled radiator. I will get it sorted when I get back.
