Hey, so it's me and 3 other friends looking to play pool tonight. I checked leisure plex but it's mad expensive (11 euros per hour), so I was wondering is there any cheaper place? in Dublin tonight? Around Dublin only, must have parking for car (free preferably). Any suggestions?

Also 3 of us have student cards (if there are any student offers)

That seems to be the going rate for places that rent by the hour. The Palace on Camden Street is the same. You could try McGrattens off Leeson Street. They have or had two tables you could pay per game. You might want to ring them to see if this is still the case.

Oh, alright guess I will just go with it and pay that. Seems weird how those places offer 5 Euro per hour during day or 11 euro per hour in an evening. Guess it makes sense.

Supply and demand I suppose, still though that's a hefty enough price hike.

The Hideout, just off Stephen's Green (can't remember the name of the street, it has sex shops and a head shop on it, South William Street perhaps?) does pool. Loads of tables, 2 euro a game.

Parnell Centre has an arcade thing with tons of pool tables upstairs, €1 a game. Unfortunately it's in the Parnell Centre. Dunno what time it stays open until.

Fair enough, a few lads I used to work with were prone to spending their lunch hour in there blowing an obscene amount of their wages about a year ago.
