Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Thinking about getting upc in the gaf, was just wondering what happens to the TV in the other rooms receiving the 10/15 analog stations we're currently getting. Will I need a new box/subscription for each room or whats the story..

You get the basic 15 or so channels at any point without a box

Multi room is only an extra fiver per room. If you decide against it, you'll still have the analog

+1 I had the analog channels in the bedroom but the picture quality definitely started going downhill and I eventually caved in and got a digital box. Multiroom costs €5 p.m. if you have the basic channel set.

Just to be clear - 'multiroom' is the UPC term for any second or subsequent digital box. All of the boxes will have the same channel set.

Right so if im understanding this correctly the analog signal is still transmitted to the rest of the house after signing up for a digital box in the main room?

Yes. Unless they run in a new drop from the eave/road. If this happens you can just reconnect it into the loop in your house.

Whats up with the remote control?

Depending on the box and the remote it can go a little strange. Sometimes the box changes to channel 100 instead of the one you want, sometimes the remote needs to be carefully pointed directly at the box and not anywhere else in the room.

If the remote seems a little deaf, sometimes seperating the TV and the UPC box by a few metres can stop it. Sometimes flat screen TV's generate interference which the UPC box does not like.

    Have fun!
