Do You Get Taxed When You Get Your Super Back?

Me and the gf are heading back to Ireland in August. I'll be applying for my tax and super from there. Is it true you get taxed heavily on the super? I've been told 40 %. Or do you get every cent back?

It's probably 35% but it could be 45% depending on your circumstances.

What % was employees contribution anyway? If it was mostly the employers contribution that is clawed back in tax then i don't see the problem.
