Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Happy with that selection from SAF. Regardless of the Real game Carrick could do with a game off while Jones needs a game.

I would prefer Nani to play but with Baines around Valencia selection makes sense. I hope he finds some decent form.

    Where is Kagawa though?

Wonder if Fergie is planning on playing both of them against Madrid.

I want to echo the bolded part. I hate watching Valencia play so timidly.

Valencia's play these days is, run forward, stop, pass back or inside. He plays in a kind of Bermuda Triangle where nothing comes out.Rafael is a more attacking threat than he is at the minute.

Heitinga starts instead of Distin after he got injured in the warm-up.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 31,949 ✭✭✭✭Mars Bar

    Distin out for Everton now.

Does that count as a sub for Everton?

It would never be Van Persie to get injured, it had to be one of our centre-backs...

The Villa forwards were all over Heitinga last week, Van Persie is going to do horrible things to him.

I'm revising my prediction downwards from 1-1 to about 11-0.

No, but I think we'll only have 6 players on the bench now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,906 ✭✭✭✭PhlegmyMoses

What is Valencia up to going so early there? He's faster than anyone on the pitch and has 50 yards to run into.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 31,949 ✭✭✭✭Mars Bar

    Was sure RVP was offside

Yes Giggs! The record goes on!

Great work by Valencia and RVP.

Its a pity Anderson isn't playing. The midfield of Everton is lighweight, slow and easy to get behind. Heitenga isn't hard to get at either.

As we just saw, gwan Giggsy

    Gigggsssssssssssssssss

Yes. I honestly thought he would not get enough game time to keep up his great scoring record in the EPL. :D

    So happy for him

    Legend

Giggs has been in fine form since Xmas, a valuable squad player.

And people wanted him to retire earlier on in the season. Another example of how knee jerk fans can be.

    Rooney did well there

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,709 ✭✭✭shrewdness

We'll never see the likes of him again. 23 seasons in a row, just incredible.

Here comes the typical United into their shell after taking an early lead I reckon.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 14,748 ✭✭✭✭Lovely Bloke

Some of you on here must be younger than 23, is it weird to watch Giggs playing and scoring, he's been doing it since before you were born!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,190 ✭✭✭✭IvySlayer

    Close Jones

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,906 ✭✭✭✭PhlegmyMoses

This is so unusual. Everton giving us loads of space when they're usually one of the best teams at closing us down. We're even winning the physical battle. Jones is in beast mode too.
