Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Clev is dealing with Osman and Gibson thanks to RVP and Rooney dropping off as required.

Jones free to do as he pleases whjen United have the ball. Fellaini needs to man mark Jones at this stage.

United need to watch Pienaar, he will drop into the middle and take advantage of where Jones in playing and the fact Rooney and RVP can't cover right back to the United box.

Need to get the ball down and make the passes stick. Ceding possession a bit too much.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,906 ✭✭✭✭PhlegmyMoses

Sloppy passing the last 10 mins almost resulting in a goal. Get it on the ground. Well in Raf, though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,704 ✭✭✭Corvo

Evra loses the ball in the middle of the pitch and then is so far out of position he might as well have been playing in the cricket ground.

    Disgraceful.

Why cant we keep the ball when we go ahead?

What a harsh call for a handball that is. No way he would have given that as a pen for either team.

We actually cant pass the ball with a bit of pressure on us ffs

Get your head in the game RVP.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,906 ✭✭✭✭PhlegmyMoses

Well in DDG. He'll have to do more of that as the game progresses. They love that little lofted ball into the are.

    So close for RVP.

Sums it up. Even on his bad day, he is sexy.

Anyway, Vidic playing like the good old days. Jones doing really well as well.

    no

    Jones has been brilliant .

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 18,428 Mod ✭✭✭✭DM_7

This is good practice for Wednesday.

Slow play with a quick burst when in possession.

When defending concede the ball and try to drag the opposition out so they can be hit on the break.

whats that? United are not doing that on purpose? Hmmm

On another note with a Stallion like RVP, a Tank like Jones and a Beast like Vidic its no wonder the pitch is in bits.

I wouldn't rest Rooney. he has never really shown any indication that rest helps him. He seems to do better in a relentless run of games than when he has had some downtime.

    Half time thoughts:

Giggs started well and nice to see him get his goal and continue his 'scoring in every league season' record.

RVP hasn't really gotten into the game but also got reward for his efforts with his goal. (Both RVP and Giggs scoring with their right feet).

Rafael and Vidic have been brilliant.

I think we have missed Carrick somewhat in the middle as Everton controlled midfield for long periods, but at least Jones has done a good job so far on Fellaini.
