It looks like most, if not all, the SF Masterworks books are down to £1.99 at the moment on Amazon UK.
Have you a link to a sale page?

Can't find one for them, about 20 of them showing up here though.

George R.R. Martin's book Tuf Voyaging is on sale for £1.99.

It's a collection chained together short stories and novellas about planetary problems being solved by an "ecological engineer" (an eccentric trader who just happened to get his hands on an ancient bio-warship). They're quite good.

You can get the first 3 Dune books for just £0.85. Nope, that's not £0.85 each - that's 85p for all of them! Fantastic deal for one of the classics.

That's all six books of the original Dune series.

You're right - I didn't click the "Read More" link. Now it's even better value!
Series is what inspired my username too.

What kind of an account do you have?
It shows up for me both on .com and .co.uk with an Irish address.

The complete Percy Jackson collection is £4.99 on amazon. I've seen that adults enjoy these so might get them if anyone recommends. I love greek mythology but wasn't mad about the Potter books?

Showing on the .com as "This title is not currently available for purchase". Showing up fine on the co.uk, but I don't want to repoint my account there as it will mess up family settings.

Where are you located or do you use a non Irish bank?

It shows up for me (just checked). I'm in Ireland, Irish card on file but my default account is .com

I sometimes get "this book is not available" because of publishing rights and the ebook version isn't available in the Ireland & the UK

Dogs of War by Adrian Tchaikovsky is 99p on Amazon. It's a pretty good sci-fi piece about bio-engineering and free will.

The author's name rings a bell.

The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the LORD your God.

Poor Adrian. He is a decent author but I have never paid more than a couple of euro for one of his books.

I preordered that one and haven't yet read it.. Preordering means I don't pay full price but don't feel as cheap because a lot of his books I also got on offer.
Currently reading Children of Ruin which was less than a fiver when I advance ordered it last year.

He makes a decent living from it all the same - I guess it works out since a lot of us snap him up whenever he's low priced since he's a solid writer. Quantity of ebooks sold probably does the job.

Amazon monthly has a few decent choices at 99p this month:

    The Name of the Wind

Empire in Black and Gold (Shadows of the Apt Book 1) (Naturally another cheap Tchaikovsky book ;))

The Way of Kings (Stormlight Archives 1)

Did anyone spot anything else that looked worth a punt?

Children of time is my favourite book of his. Available for $5.50 on my amazon. Definitely better than the insects one or Ironclads

Is the Stormlight archives any good??

I purchased Aftershocks (Book 1 of the Palladium Wars) for 99p as part of Amazon’s First Reads series. Just finished it and thought it was a decent start to a military/space story that deals with the aftermath of war. Just disappointed now that the next one won’t be out until 2020.

Just finishing it. Decent story. Not sure where it is leading though.
