Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The thing that United really lack is composure on the ball. They've carried over the "don't close anyone with the ball down" attitude they've had all season too.

For Mourinho and Madrid it is very important that they take a lead to OT. His is a team created to counter attack and they are the finest in the world at it, even 2-1 would be a good score, meaning Man Utd would need a goal giving Madrid the chance to counter.

Seriously short memory on some Utd fans here. Yeah Raf is having a brutal game, but this same 'clown', and other things he's been called here, genuinely helped us cement a 12 point lead in the league last weekend in the same fixture where we threw away the league last year.

Get him off, definitely now with the yellow, but lets not get too carried away.

Hanging in so far. Raf needs to come off, it's not worth the gamble keeping him on! Jones kicking lumps out of the Madrid team!! :)

"Real Madrid Man Utd are like a rabbit in the glare of the headlights in the face of Manchester United's Real Madrids' attacks. But this rabbit comes with a suit of armour in the shape of two one precious away goals

Good exciting half of football. Rafael is really not at the races. I also fail to see what Kawaga does exactly. Overall Real dominating but stupid defending will always mean united have a chance to score.

Rafael picked up the worst game to have a mare. Oh and it's nice to see the obvious one going on about it.

I didn't think much of Rooney in the first half.

Exactly like the Bayern game, I don't think he likes big games

They are dominating out there. They will dominate at old Trafford. They dont need to rely on counter attacks.

Dunno but you are meant to hit the ball with it anyway!

What has all that got to do with this game, he is having a nightmare tonight but a good season, does that sound ok for u

I agree that they are dominating and of course they are capable of that, after all they did win La Liga last season, but the ideal scenario is to have a lead going into the second half, force Man Utd to push for a goal in the second leg and exploit the space (something Madrid do better than any team)

Liked how Kagawa was getting behind the defence in the first half of the first half. If we could get Chico on, I think he'd be good for a chance on goal...

The ABU's are hilarious. You know it really kills them inside, realising how far away they are from this level

Games against Liverpool, City, Chelsea, Arsenal or any team in the league says he relishes big games. He is a young defender who is bound to have few bad games.

Didn't someone say that for Madrid 12 years ago ?

He was great in the Bayern game up until his 2nd booking. He was grand in this until Ronaldo switched to the other side.

Utd look fairly far away from that level too in fairness.

I was talking about United's level. 12 points clear in the league and level with Madrid in the Bernabeu

Rooney looking a bit more useful so far.

Saorview looks better than Sky :S

    Real will win this !

    Surely you mean RVP's level.
The rest of the team (rooney and vidic aside) aren't up to much.

Ya of course fans would love their teams to be in utd's position but it doesn't mean they are above criticism.
