Advise needed on Spaying Female Rabbit

I need to get my female rabbit spayed, she's very sexually aggressive towards my other rabbit, a castrated male.

My vet isn't too keen on doing it, I don't think they have much experience with it.

Has anyone been through this before? Does anyone know any good vets experienced with rabbits in Tipp/Waterford/Kilkenny region??

Sigma Force on here is the woman to talk to: not only a smallie expert, but not a million miles away from where you are either, so will hopefully know suitable vets in the vicinity. Maybe pop her a PM?
Have to hand it to your vet though, for not taking on a job they're not familiar with. I believe rabbit neutering is not exactly straightforward.
    Good luck with it :)

I would make sure first of all that you find a vet who has done it, and does it regularly, as it's not a simple operation to neuter a female rabbit.
Though it is recommended as 85% of female rabbits develop uterine cancer by the age of 4 if not spayed.

I had my bun spayed last year, I did make sure I brought her to a vet that specialised in small furries, and even at that she stayed in for 3 nights to make sure she was eating and pooping okay afterwards, as they can go into gut stasis which is pretty serious.

Hopefully someone will be able to recommend a vet.

    Thanks,

I've booked her in to another vet who knows what he's doing.
Fingers crossed all goes well XXx
