Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The Banks

How much money has gone into the banks?
The media keep saying €64 billion made up of €30. 6 billion promisory note and 4 billion cash [IBRC]. This leaves about 30 billion - was that from the NPRF?

Then, as part of the bailout, €10 billion was for recapitalisation and €25 billion was a contingency fund for the banks - so has this money actually gone into the banks or did the not need it? If it has gone into the banks then it would then mean that the banks have cost €94 billion [€64 billion + €35 billion].
    Its all a litle confusing!

Been covered a few times, doesn't help that most of the media couldn't find their ass with a map.

Take a look at this thread to get a look at the figures. Please note despite the fact that the thread is from last year, the deal done last week will not change the total amount, just the source of funds.
