So they're split the series after the first 8 civvie episodes, not getting the remaining 7 until next year unfortunately
Assumed as much as there was an ad for another show taking it's place next Friday..

They finished with the worst team yet too!

I was assuming it'd just be off the four weeks for Food Unwrapped and Travel Man; then back on to finish the run before the end of the year, but this massive gap makes me think they're not too confident in the potential viewing figures for the rest of the run.

Think they need to properly vet the contestants if they do go with a second series. Most of them in this series have been terrible. They just seem to be idiots that just want to be on TV whereas in the older ones, it was intelligent people that wanted to win.

Stuck it on today. Vicky Pattison and Louis Spence are contestants. I think I'll change my duvet instead. Hard to believe they're considered "celebrities".

obviously the producers have chosen to choose the former

There is a Celebrity Christmas Special next Thursday at 9pm.

Gold medal-winning Olympians Ellie Simmonds and Nicola Adams, Made in Chelsea's Ollie Locke, The Saturdays and Strictly star Mollie King, and Murder in Successville comedian Tom Davis make up the team.

It's not so good at all for it's return on Channel 4.

They have 0 crystals & 0 seconds before approaching the dome.

'We are all losers together' going from Ayoade.

Yikes. What a start to this series.

Good up until the lock-in. I hope that this is just a slip-up.

I had half-seen your post in my email, tried not to look cos was going to watch it on +1.

The contestants were more like early series (well, the older woman could have been on the original series)......pumped and dedicated. Miles better than last weeks contestants.

I read that there's a new series on the way and they've introduced a new zone.

Been saying for years that a modern version would be well worth doing..

.. provided they got the right host.

But they'd probably get someone like Vernon Kay!
Fort Boyard will be doing the 30th season either later this month, or July.
    https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0173548/episodes?season=30

So if done right, there's an audience for it.

Must have not done great for Channel 4..

.. back for a new series on Sunday at 4.55pm on E4.

A definite downgrade in channel and slot!

I think it was a poor prime time show to be truthful.

E4 are pushing a family friendly area on Sunday evening clearly as its running before PG Taskmaster so in that sense it fits into their direction. But certainly a downgrade!

Apparently these are three shows filmed in 2017 and Channel 4 have had them on the shelf waiting to burn them off ever since.

They were broadcast in Australia, but not in the UK for some reason. Very odd.

Going by the Sky schedule description of "three police staff, a postal worker and a hairdresser", this definitely sounds like the Sasani family episode from Maze 7.

That leaves the Ali family, and the midwives for the next couple weeks; then maybe we get to look forward to the second batch of celebs from Maze 9?

Celebrity edition tonight at 10 on Channel 4.
