Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Basically the same thing.

No, strike that it is the same thing (minus making calls). Would actually not be surprised if the hardware is identical..

All iOS based products are generally the same device, just in a different box. One can make calls, other has a bigger screen. But they are all the same thing really.

that ad says it's the latest model, launched september 2012, but the pictures show differently.

as a general rule ipod touch and iphone have very similar hardware, except ipod touch don't have GPS (maps will rely on wifi for geo-location), 3G antennas. To make calls you'll be hampered by the following:

    1. being connected to wifi.
    2. people you're contacting to be on 1. skype, 2. viber.

that alone would lean me towards the phone, using an ipod touch as a phone replacement is kinda like banging a square peg into a round hole, yes it will work with enough force but doesn't mean it will be a nice experience.
