    From GA's Facebook page:
A portion of the Rahoon Road will close tomorrow from 9.30am to 12.00pm. This is in order to facilitate an urgent crane lift to remove a transformer from the ESB Substation at the junction of the Seamus Quirke Road and the Rahoon / Shantalla Road.

Do you see this as a fore runner to a more permanent closure, Mrs OBumble?

    Is that on the cards?

Wasn't there a major upgrade done on that installation not too long ago, or have I got the wrong location in mind?

It's here, right, behind the newly-built limestone wall?

Any possible connection with the proposed redevelopment of the O Higgins site, already catered for with a right-turn lane on the modified SQR layout.

Do a search for the thread about planning permission for the O'Higuins (spelling!) site. Pretty sure someone found .docs saying that the plan is to have the main road go thru that site.
