The Mun should be at least 6 points up in this game at half time. Hopefully they can keep it up in the second half.

Crokes stuck to the ground nothing going right for them, ballymun more lively

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,551 ✭✭✭SeaFields

Another goal chance for ballymun. Super block to deny. Theres goals there for them if they keep floating in those high balls.

Big moment in the game coming up

    Brady misses the pen

  • Moderators, Category Moderators, Recreation & Hobbies Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 34,154 CMod ✭✭✭✭ShamoBuc

And they save the pen - can't see past Ballymun now.

    Penalty Crokes!

Great work from Chris Brady, slipped in the endline and Daithí Casey is tripped by Philly McMahon.

Chris Brady hits a terrible penalty.

That sort of day for Crokes.

    1-06 to 0-04.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,789 ✭✭✭✭keane2097

How does McMahon not get the line there?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,192 ✭✭✭✭Kerrydude1981

Ballymun have them rattled, going to take a massive effort from the Crokes to pull this off

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,823 ✭✭✭Always_Running

Ballymun the better side Dr Crokes 0-4 in 40mins probably highlights how poor they have been so far..

Cynical Ballymun and Marty Duffy leaves them away with it time and again.

Philly McMahon pops a great score over. 1-7 to 0-04

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,386 ✭✭✭✭DDC1990

    Hubbard should be gone now.

Should have got yellow for throwing the ball away from Doolan earlier but got a hop ball off it.

    Now another cynical foul.

They are way on top, there is no need for the cynical play.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,551 ✭✭✭SeaFields

Cooper doing his best to drag em up. Crokes emptying the bench it seems

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,386 ✭✭✭✭DDC1990

Why did it take the Crokes so long to put Brosnan midfield.

2 minutes at midfield and 2 points already.

    1-7 to 0-6

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,192 ✭✭✭✭Kerrydude1981

    Great score from the Crokes

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,386 ✭✭✭✭DDC1990

Goal in it. Casey with a monster score.

    1-7 to 0-7

Was talking about Ballymun being cynical but that was awful from Brian Looney.

Hubbard rugby tackled to the ground, and no yellow, or did I miss it during the replay? Ballymun not the only team employing cynical fouling. Set up for a great finish with Croke's resurgence.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,386 ✭✭✭✭DDC1990

2 in it now. Johnny Buckley with the score.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 57 ✭✭jam08

McCarthy fairly quiet now too. Brosnan the heart of Crokes at the moment.

    Finally crokes after waking up

Nope he got a yellow. Thats the first cynical one from Crokes.

    Great block there!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,192 ✭✭✭✭Kerrydude1981

Crokes have really upped it in the last 10 minutes

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,823 ✭✭✭Always_Running

Crokes have upped it when it matters can they pull a win out of the bag when all looked lost?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,386 ✭✭✭✭DDC1990

! Marty does another job on the Crokes.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,192 ✭✭✭✭Kerrydude1981

    Sloppy from Casey there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,386 ✭✭✭✭DDC1990

That penalty really hurt the Crokes.

    Wont get the goal.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,551 ✭✭✭SeaFields

Did that score break crokes momentum

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 57 ✭✭jam08

Ah right, didn't see it during the replay.

    Heartbreak for the Crokes again

Ballymun played like their manager whole hearted and lively

Fair play to them well deserved win

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,386 ✭✭✭✭DDC1990

Everything Crokes has tried has gone wrong.

    Just not their day

Well done Ballymun fully deserving of their win today.

Fit, Strong and Workmanlike. Great footballers all over the field and the better team by far on the day.

Good battle back by the Crokes but they had no luck today.

    Heartbreak for the Crokes again

True, but they can have no complaints, the better team did win.

Great day for the 2 underdogs. Both fully deserved their wins.

Was just going to say that. Few would have said both crokes and cross would come up short today

Really looking forward to the two games, the standard in this competition is just superb. It doesn't hurt that several of the teams remaining play a brilliant brand of football, Cross and Brigid's in particular.

Ah here, whinging about the ref when the better team won

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,580 ✭✭✭✭yabadabado

Should be a good final.Brigid's be slight favourites?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 652 ✭✭✭Just An Opinion

Congrats Ballymun and Brigids both fully deserving winners, should be a cracking final.

Ah here, whinging about the ref when the better team won
Yup, I whinged about the Ref for a number of incidents and the better team won, I fail to see how they are linked.

I suggest you don't comment on something you don't have any idea about. That was not in relation to the match in general but an incident where Duffy missed a blatant foul on a Crokes player, not long after giving a hop ball, when Hubbard held onto the ball and waited till Doolan ran at him and hit the deck and lay on the ball. Instead of bringing the bal forward Duffy gave a hop ball.

I'd make Brigid's 4/6 favourites. I suspect the bookies will favour them more strongly so will probably end up on Ballymun again in the final.

2 upsets, although kerry football is in serious decline, so maybe not too surprising that one
