    Hi Guys

Can you quote me for a few cables

    3m Optical cable

    3m Hdmi cable

5m subwoofer cable. Can you tell me which is a better setup - using a single cable or a y cable

    Thanks

By all accounts using a single cable and a y cable is the same thing if your Amp has a dedicated sub-out. You just plug one end in the amp and the other into the 'L' port on the sub. I think (and someone from RS would know better) that using both connectors on the sub is only for amps that don't have a dedicated sub-out

Thanks for that. I bought the sub second hand with no manual so I was unsure

    Hi Marley,

    Thanks for getting in touch.

Griff is spot on with the sub a single phono to phono would do the job nicely :)

    So here goes pricing:

Optical 3m - £59.95 - This is a 3m QED optical and is of very high standard.  Check the link below for more info:

3M HDMI - £59.95 - Another quality cable from QED:

5m Sublink - Got a nice Philips cable we use here.  It's actually a component video cable so 3 phono.  The good thing with this cable is that you can strip it down so you can get 1phono to 1phono for your sublink and then also have a phono cable left over for any other analogue equipment you may have.  We can offer this for just £14.95.

Let me know what you think :)

    Hi Marley,

Thanks for getting back to me.

I've got a very good deal on a 5m HDMI cable if you dont mind a little bit of extra cable hanging about.  It's the Cambridge Audio 700 HDMI.  This was retailing at £79.95, but I can offer it for just £39.95!  Check the link below for more info:

    http://www.richersounds.com/product/av-interconnects/cambridge-audio/hdmi-700-5m/camb-hdmi-700-5m

For a fairly basic 3m HDMI we offer a B-Tech 1.4 rated cable at £24.95.  Not a bad cable at all for the money.

On the optical cable unfortunately the QED is our cheapest :(  We carry a 2.25 Cambridge Audio optical at £24.95.  Nothing else longer tho.

    Hope this helps.

    Let me know.

    Chris
