Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

App for scanning airline tickets?

    I have 'Passbook' but it doesn't support Aer Lingus or Ryanair or any of the European airlines that I use. Saw someone scanning their phone in the airport the other day. Would be handy as I'm always terrified I'll lose my boarding pass!

    I've seen it done with an iPad, he had the pdf of his boarding pass saved to it. I don't know if Ryanair etc officially accept this though, I'd imagine if they did they would have an app (and a charge for the convenience of course!) a good idea for a backup but I wouldn't rely on it

    Are Lingus, British Airways, Lufthansa, SAS and Swiss all offer mobile checkin services where you can send your boarding pass as an email or SMS to your phone (there are some restrictions on use for certain airports)

    I'm sure there are other airlines providing the service as well.

    Ryanair are very unlikely to accept a scanned PDF on your phone as they retain a portion of each boarding pass to tally the passenger manifest.

    Flying Aer Lingus tomorrow and printed off my boarding pass this morning. Didn't see anywhere where I could send it to my phone?

    You need to select Mobile Check-in on their website, not just normal Online Check-in.

    Aer Lingus also have their own seperate app. You can use this as a boarding card also I think...

    I used the mobile check in for the first time with Aer Lingus last week in Dublin and Prague. Worked great. You check in and it sends you a link to your boarding pass which can then be scanned from your phone at checkin or security.
