Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Looks like them out of the running for this and 4th place at this stage.

They can have Rafa back at the end of the season, we'll take José. :pac:

Ivanovic is a disaster in recent times.

Watching this on FOX and the co-commentator is in love with chelsea. He is literally gushing constantly. Doesn't seem to realise it's 0-0 and Sparta prague have had the better chances.

Actually on my point, Mata and Torres both have switched from Nike recently to Adidas.

Do we have any actual donkey on the bench?
Tell it to warm up, and throw the donkey on for Torres.
We might aswel play with an actual donkey up front, God knows Torres is doing sweet eff all.

Pretty pedestrian performance. Ramires not at the races. Torres just awful. What a complete and utter waste of €50m, wages and what the money could have been better spent on.

Bright spots were Marin's industrious and skillful performance, Oscar's effortless goal, and a victory at a canter. Chelsea's fitness told in the end - assuming Sparta don't equalise in the last few minutes. CFC should close it off easily enough at the Bridge.

Good goal, nice cameo from Oscar, who again must be annoyed that he didn't start.

Poor performance overall. We look so directionless, we have these small, technically gifted players yet we don't play a game based around possession, we don't press and we have Lampard and Ramires in the middle of the pitch (neither of them are who you would want in a side that is going to try to dominate possession) the backline kicks it away cheaply under minimal pressure and our striker offers practically nothing.

But there are positives. With De Bruyne, Mikel, Romeu, McEachran and Lukaku all at the club and who could play next season they could really aid a possession based approach. Most important though is a new manager, just drifting along, relying on the occasional bit of individual brilliance (as we got tonight from Oscar and Hazard) isn't good enough and certainly doesn't cut the mustard against the elite of European football. Someone has to come in, hammer home a philosophy, adjust the squad so that it is capable of applying that philosophy and then sticking to the bloody philosophy.

I wonder how many will turn up to the second leg? Lovely goal by Oscar Nando should be training with Malouda that shot that nearly hit the half way line sums it up.

It's so lucky we have a tactical genius with us where would we be?

Completly agree with all the above. Amazing techinical players yet we play hoof ball to a terrible torres. Mata was the only one pressing last night, its like we were playing without a game plan and just turn up at the park with a pair of boots looking for a game.
