I've got a few speakers connected to my computer but only 2 of them are working (in stereo).

    I've got a TV - a Toshiba Regza - that's connected with a HDMI.

I've also got an Auditek set of speakers.

There's a central sub woofer. Connected to that are 4 speakers.

I have 2 audio cables running from the sub woofer to my PC.

I have an ASRock Z77 Extreme 4 motherboard.

What's the best way to get these set up? Can I have surround sound?

Usually with suround speakers you need three outputs from the soundcard on the PC. Sub, front and back.

They should correspond to the black, green and orange outputs on your board

    Thanks.

I've actually had a word with my tech-savvy brother and I don't have the the right sort of speakers.

I was under the impression that it was just the number of speakers but it's quite a bit more complicated.:o

I somehow forgot I had a damn good set of headphones so I'll use them instead.
