Massey front axel leak

Hi, I have a massey ferguson 298 that's just started leaking badly from the front axel. It's in the center just behind the point where the four wheel drive shaft fits in. Is this a common problem and what's involved in fixing it. Thanks

Probably an oil seal popped which prevents the oil in the axel from leaking out around the shaft. Shaft will need to be removed from the axel. Old seal removed and new one put in. Axel will also need to be refilled with oil. Not a big job really.
