If it's Hive Majors you're looking for, the ones right to the left of the spawn point in the Steppes are the best. 3 of them and they respawn instantly. Pretty decent spot to farm Glimmer if you need it too.

Yup, but I was playing as my second character which was only level 11, and they are level 18 majors. I wouldn't be able to do them any damage.

Just checked my Bungie.net profile and it seems my Rep has been carried over tbh

Did the Raid for maybe the 7th time last night with 1 guy from chat and 4 of his friends. Got my 3rd piece of Raid Armour (Chest piece, already had Gloves and Boots) and Vision of Confluence and a Purple Ship.

That means if I can get an Exotic Helm from Xur this weekend, I'll have all the tools to get to level 30.

Think I've gotten all the Normal Raid Rewards at this point bar the Sparrow, so I'm gonna hold off till i get to level 30 to do more Raids.... unless someone ins desperately stuck for a 6th some evening I'm on



EDIT: Speculation is rife that Bungie have F**ked up and the Iron Banner should not be live as it's essentially the old IB and is only live due to the internal clock thing that triggers events, last IB was 4 weeks ago, maybe this was not meant to go live in this state.

I'm level 8 with FWC, I've gotten some decent loot before from them but last 2 times have been the same bull****.

As you say, you can defeat him in that corner handy enough, the rest of the strike is all about patience really. But yeah, it's gonna take a while haha.

I think, if everyone on your team is on the ball you can basically sprint it right up to the point you go after the first of his guards - that first big room isn't a restricted spawn point, so you don't have to clear it - you can just run through. All 3 need to run through at the same time and as quick as possible so that as few have spawned into the room as possible.

But then yeah, taking on the guards and the tank could well be a fecking pain. I reckon the ice breaker will come in very handy for limitless sniping at the tank from distance.

I forgot about the first room actually, didn't know you could sprint through it, nice. Yeah, the ice breaker is great for the tank, does a lot of damage too when fully levelled up.

I like to try and solo the nightfall (it can actually be easier than with a fireteam), so hopefully will have a go at it tonight after the football and see how it goes.

On a side note, as you remember for my last 3 raids last week all I got was 12 shards and 3 energies (and a chadderwhite).

so I just finished it again today, and I take back all I said about Bungie reward system, this time I got.... 12 shards 3 energies and 1 chadderwhite!!!! woo hoo!!!

The mars strike is a nuisance more than anything. At the end it's not the boss that's annoying, it's all the other mobs that spawn. If you hide under the stairs you can avoid them but then if a team mate dies elsewhere you are usually screwed.

If you're under the stairs make sure you're the party leader. That way if a teammate dies they can just go back to Orbit and rejoin.
Did that with my brother last week but hadn't fully explained it to him. Just had the Nexus dead and he died and went to Orbit as the leader. Had to start from scratch.
Bit glitchy but meh.

Last week's Nightfall was easy. Killed him without dropping down to the Nexus and just sniped from above. One person watch for mobs coming behind.

Gotta stick together at all times during a nightfall, should never be more than 10-15 feet away from eachother really. This looks like another Ice Breaker week.

I downloaded AW from the US store so it worked out at €47.
Its actually quiet good but I keep trying to stab with LB

I got to the last boss twice today on the weekly. Twice the power went.

The mission itself is easy enough on your own with a levelled up Ice Breaker. The tank takes a while to kill but it can't get you if you hang back far enough.

Dunno why you bothered getting to level 8, get them to level 3, get your rewards then change your class item to a new faction, no loyalty here

What is the point in that though? Might as well keep levelling up one faction to get the free gift at each level right?

It might just be me, but I found i got better stuff at level 3 of them than level 4, 5 etc. Maybe I'm wrong. Plus at leafs that way you can shop around at all 5 shops

Also while we are on the subject, there is no F**king point in factions.

They should have had each one specialise in weapon types.
i.e: All Dead Orbit stuff is Solar damage, they only use Fusion Rifles and Scout Rifles and LMGs and all their armour buffs focus on these weapon types and solar buffs.

You know, so you could have a load out that actually has pieces and buffs that compliment each other, not just any old s**t that will do more damage and get you to a higher level

Maybe Crucible gear is more angled to PvP and Vanguard gear is more focused on Strikes etc

Too logical for Bungie maybe

The rewards are random each level in all factions, like everything else in the game, which is why you end up getting mats sometimes

Personally agree the factions are a waste of time, besides once vanguard and crucible are at level 3 you're better off sticking with them, they have more variety of weapons than any of the factions, even if they take a bit longer to rank up.

The only benefit to factions is that you can level them faster than normal vanguard/crucible to buy the armour for light

I hit level 29 tonight. I'm happy with that as I don't see myself being able to play the Raid countless times in order to get the Raid armour to drop and then find all the shards to level them up.

3 more guns, no gauntlets. Completely useless really, can barely rank up 3/4 legendary/exotic guns nevermind 18.

I don't even know why I bother with the Raid. Shards, nothing but ****ing shards. Need to do the Raid on HM this week, maybe that will break my duck and give me some armor.

The FWC have a pretty sweet Fusion that you can only get as a reward, so that's why I'm still leveling them.
