Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I think most of the parties in the Dail have spoken about a third rate of tax at some stage or another but nothing has ever come of it. The government seem to regularly float the idea introducing cuts in areas such as home help and child care allowances for example. Would having a third rate of tax negate the need for some…

You seem to be suggesting that supermarket alcohol is exempt from excise, which of course it isn't.

Excise taxes apply at the production stage, and don't vary according to the sales channel.

Well, I'm old enough to remember people going to mass on Sunday on a horse and cart. I suppose he has a sort of De Valera type twisted image of an ideal Ireland?:)
